Watercolour, ink, and crayon are used to create a horizontal structure interrupted by openings, edges, and small shifts in direction. The green wash moves through the work like a passage or connective tissue, while the black line gives the form a brittle outer frame. The image examines structure as something porous – built from gaps as much as from solid marks.
