A softly modelled torso emerges from veils of colour, with a bright yellow passage hovering above the figure like light, memory or concealment. The work sits between bodily presence and atmospheric abstraction, using fragile outlines, layered washes and scraped textures to keep the figure partly formed and partly dissolving.
